On Wednesday, 13th July, Nightingales and Kingfishers
spent the day at Warwick Castle to complete their topics on the Normans and the
Plantagenets. During the day, we enjoyed watching a display of different
eagles and other birds of prey in flight (one nearly flew onto
Mrs Martin's head as she was taking a photo!) and a demonstration of an expert
archer who explained the important role bowmen played in the battles of that
time. We also had a good look inside the castle and finished our day in
the Horrible Histories Maze, which was great fun. Fortunately, it only
rained once and we had a brilliant day.
