It's always great to receive praise but when we received a letter from MP Nick Gibb, Minister of State for School Standards, it's even better! Congratulations to our wonderful Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 teams on the very high standard of achievement in the 2016 phonics screening check, putting Silverhill Primary in the top 8% of all primary schools in the country. Praise goes to the staff, parents and pupils for all their hard work in such a vital element for developing early reading.
