On Thursday 9th November a mixed group of Year 5 boys and girls took part in a table tennis competition against other local schools, at Derby Moor. We competed against lots of other schools winning a fair share of them and loosing a few too! Out of 9 schools, we came 5th overall - lots of Silverhill 'SPIRIT' was shown by everyone. well done Barn Owls and Snowy Owls.
Native American Day
On Thursday 16th November, as a part of our topic on America, Year 5's held their own 'Native American Day'. Everyone dressed up in Native American outfits and we spent the day doing a variety of themed activities. We made head dresses, tepees, name cards and totem poles.
