Year 5 in Space!

Year 5 blasted off into a new and exciting year with our Astronaut Training Day as the sensational start to our ‘To Infinity and Beyond’ theme. As a fantastic introduction, children dressed up in space outfits for the day.  We had a visitor who had taken part in astronaut training and shared his vast  knowledge and experiences with the children.  The bungee run was a great success and gave the children some understanding of gravity and resistance.  In the afternoon, we all took part in the Mission X challenge which included decoding, space suit design and astronaut work out.  A great day was had by all and we are all now so enthusiastic and excited about the coming term.
