In
Year 5 this term, our topic is America – A USA Road Trip. To get our road trip off to a roaring start
on January 8th, we all dressed up in the colours of the American
flag. During the morning, the children
became well acquainted with key facts about the USA, sang the ‘Star Spangled
Banner’ as children across America do each day and, most importantly, enjoyed
an all-American breakfast. In the
afternoon, they all joined in American football and created their own artistic
version of the American flag.
