Children in Year 2
and Year 4 recently took part in the Primary Engineer project in conjunction
with Rolls-Royce. The challenge was to design and make a moving
vehicle. Four children were selected to take their creations along
to the Primary Engineer Challenge Event, which was held on Saturday May
10th at the Rolls-Royce Learning and Development Centre.
The vehicles were
put through their paces in a variety of tests including moving in a straight
line, driving up an incline and distance travelled. A fun time was had by all
and congratulations go to Reuben, Katie and Alice for their fantastic designs
and a special well done to Jason, who won first prize in the theme category.
