After getting through our annual SATs and toast week, on Friday 16th May our Year 6 enjoyed a well earned break from school with a day out in Dovedale. Following a picturesque walk by the river and an explore in the caves, the children enjoyed a nice picnic lunch in the sunshine before managing to stay dry over the stepping stones (well, most of them!)
Once all batteries were recharged it was a gentle stroll (ok, a massive mountain climb) up to the top of Thorpe Cloud. While some children (and Mr F) almost ran up, a few needed a little more encouragement but we ALL made it to the top (and safely back down again!) to enjoy a much deserved ice cream!
