Happy Retirement Mrs Nash

On Friday 23rd March we wished Mrs Nash a fond farewell on her last day at Silverhill Primary before she starts what we hope will be a long, happy and restful retirement. On her final day the children performed a magical Take 10 routine to clap her into the school for one final time. In a special assembly she was treated to songs, poems, messages of thanks, art work and gifts to show her our gratitude. Mrs Nash became the Headteacher of Silverhill Primary School in April 2006 and over the years she has become immensely proud of the school and all those associated with it.

In her final message to the children.... 'You are just remarkable. I never cease to be amazed by you all. Follow the Spirit of Silverhill and you will do well. Be kind in your words and actions and you will always have loyal friends. And remember - life is ‘A Learning Adventure’ and you will go far.'

And to staff and families... 'It has been an honour and a privilege to watch over this chapter in Silverhill’s history. A new and exciting one awaits. The community is formed from an amazing and talented team of people and I know you will continue to support Mr Gallagher to help the school prosper in the future. With very best wishes to you all.'  Kate Nash

Good luck Mrs Nash. Thank you for everything. Enjoy your retirement xxx
