On Wednesday 7th March, a number of pupils in KS2 took part in a cross country race hosted here at Silverhill. For the second time this year, the rain was pouring.... and we were running. The first race was years 5 and 6 girls, followed by the year 3/4 girls, then it was the boys turn. As well as individual awards, Silverhill achieved a number of medals as a team:
Year 3/4 A Team Girls - Gold
Year 3/4 B Team Girls- Bronze
Year 3/4 A Team Boys - Gold
Year 3/4 B Team - Silver
Year 5/6 Girls - Gold
Year 5/6 Boys - Bronze
As a school, we left the event feeling proud to have represented our school. Despite the downpour and the mudbath, we had a whale of a time and look forward to our next running event - the sports mile!
