On the 8th March, Barn Owls went to the National Space Centre in Leicester. The coach ride was about 1 hour long. The other Year 5 class (Snowy Owls) came on the bus and the trip with us.
The first activity we did was go into a planetarium where we watched a show called 'Astronauts'. As we found our seats, we could see the dome shaped ceiling light up and all around us the walls and ceiling was playing a 3D show. It felt like we were flying through space and through the body.
After that, we went tot he exhibition. That was where we were allowed to walk around and play quizzes. We did this for about 15 minutes. The teachers that came with us were; Mrs Minifie, Mr Burley, Mrs Poxon, Mrs Atwell and Mrs Davies.
Next, we went to a place in the centre called 'Question Time'. A man was asking questions and we had to answer them. Most of the class got them right but there were some hard ones. We made a moon cycle after the questions.
Then, we made our way to lunch. It was quite crowded but we all managed to find a place to sit. we were in there for at least 45 minutes.
Finally we had another walk around the exhibits. Sadly then we had to get the bus back to school and then go home but we had a fantastic time.
