On Wednesday 9th July, Year 3 went on a trip to Trentham Monkey Forest which links in with their summer term topic on the rainforest. The children all had a super time learning about the Barbary Marcaques and seeing them up close, sometimes only metres away. Who do you think this chap looks like?

Year 2 visit Tesco
On Tuesday, Year 2 went on a trip to Tesco to learn about where our food
comes from. We got to go behind the scenes and knead the bread, hold the fish
and taste the cheese. We also searched for different fruits and vegetables
around the shop and learnt about where they grow. We were even locked in the
freezer!! Well done Year 2 for a fantastic day.

Year 2 visit the Space Centre
On Thursday 3rd July, Year 2 had a very exciting
day out to the Space Centre. We explored all the exhibits, watched a very
interesting film about astronauts in the planetarium and even got to dress up
as aliens!
We also saw a real rocket and used the lift to look at the
rocket all the way from the bottom to the very top.
We all had a fantastic day and learnt lots more fantastic
information about space! I think we may have some budding astronauts in the
making!

Mr Turner rocket man!
Mr Turner has made a very exciting visit to Year 2. He challenged us with the task of making rockets. It was hard work but we think we did a super job! We were very careful with our design and then added blu tack or paper clips to add weight to the rocket. Some of the rockets went a very long way! The winning rocket for distance was made by Oliver B which travelled an amazing 43m! Thank you Mr Turner, the childern had great fun!
