On Tuesday 12th June our Year 4 pupils
enjoyed a rather cool day out in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District. As a
part of their 'Where we live' topic, the children visited St Laurence Church
and 'Plague Cottages' in Eyam where the deadly 'Black Death' wiped out an
entire community. In the afternoon they were guided round Poole’s Cavern with a
fascinating look around the deep caves where they explored the vast limestone
caverns and saw how the crystal stalactites and stalagmites have formed over
millions of years. It was a great day out to support the children's learning
and the children were, as ever, impeccably behaved. Well done Year 4!
