100% attendance


On our ‘Hats for Haiti’ day we said congratulations to our pupils who have achieved 100% attendance. Well done to Grace, Matthew, Jack, Ella, Naomi, Michael, Emily, Hannah, Sam, Alex, Mitchell, Alistair and Daniel who all received their 100% attendance for the last academic year. Special mention went to Tom, Max and Molly who have achieved 2 years 100% attendance and a very special well done to Chloe who has now attended school very day for the last 3 years! Well done to you all.

Hats for Haiti



On Friday 29th January pupils and staff wore their 'Hats for Haiti'. With the money from the Table Top sale and donations of 50p to wear a hat, the total raised is £800. We will also be donating the proceeds from the Textile Recycling on Wednesday, 3rd February to the Help for Haiti fund. If you would like to make any further cash donations please send them to the school office so that they can be included in the total which will be forwarded after the textile collection.

Help for Haiti

On Tuesday, 26th January our Year 6 pupils will be setting up the hall for a table top sale to raise money for the people of Haiti. Pupils are invited to bring some spending money for when they visit the sale through the afternoon. The sale will then be open to parents from 3.15 – 4.00 p.m. If you are unable to attend the sale but would like to send a (cash) donation please put it in an envelope marked “Haiti Appeal” and send it to the school office.

Many thanks for the donations that have been received so far. We would welcome any more donations that would help raise money for the people of Haiti.

Visit our book fair...


Please come and visit our book fair from Thursday, 5 November until Tuesday, 10 November in the Year 1/2 wing. Choose from a fantastic range of books and help us earn free books for school.
The book fair will open from 3.40 - 4.30p.m. on Thursday & Friday and from 4.30 - 6.30p.m. on
Monday and Tuesday during Parent Consultations. See you there!

Fill a shoe box with gifts for a boy or a girl who wouldn't otherwise have any presents at all. Your presents need to fit inside the box and be chosen according to age grouping (2-4 , 5-9, 10-14 years). Gifts can include small toys, educational supplies, hygiene items or sundries like gloves, necklaces, sunglasses etc. If you feel you are able to fill a shoes box, please collect an information leaflet from Mrs Thompson in. Ragtex

On Friday the 2nd October 2009 RAGTEX visited school to tell the children to get rid of their unwanted clothes so they can give them to people in Zambia. School will get £400 for every 1tonne of clothing. The material can be anything from bed linen to skirts as long as it is in good condition.

Football V. Allenton

Silverhill played St. Josephs on Wednesday the 30th of September 2009.

It was a very enjoyable match we won both matches we really enjoyed it. The man of the match is to be announced next week. The score was 6-1 in the first match and in the second match we won 1-0.
